Hope all is well with you and your programs. Always looks good enough. Though I'm not much of an entertainment-partaker myself, numerous of my friends and acqauintacnes have taken advantage of your programming and always came away happy for it.
Mr. Kalina (jkalina3) was kind enough to contact the theater with the following information:
Hi Karin......yes, right guy. My Grandparents and Great Aunt/Uncle did own the theatre, along with the long gone State Theatre that was in Woodbridge. It was next to the City Hall and now houses a sort of "Quick Stop" type store. I live in California, but have lots of memories. My brother lives in Port Reading so I will ask him to look for any photos, etc. My Aunt & Uncle spent lots of time there also, so again, I will pass on the requests. Xmas was a particularly great time of year there. I remember to Sat/Sun matinees ( $.50 ..regular daily price was $1.50). I'd like to hang out on top of the Marquee whilst all else parked chairs in front to watch the Parades...with the snow also..popcorn, Hot Cocoa, etc. What cool times. I worked there & spent a great deal of time down in the Orchestral pit and the dressing rooms. A few still had stars on the front of the door. Out behind the screen playing on the catwalks, etc that were used when it was still a vaudeville theatre. Well...got lots to tell & really do anticipate exploring the place once again. I do recall my brother Billy mentioning wanting to go see some shows...haven't asked if he did though. I sincerely appreciate your interest and thank you for all you do...
